Cellar Specialist - Permanent Positions

Zilzie Wines is committed to delivering premium quality wines, with an annual crush capacity of 60,000 tonnes.

Reporting to the Cellar Manager, opportunities for enthusiastic and motivated persons to join our production department as a permanent full time Cellar Specialist.

Candidates from various industry backgrounds will be considered for these positions, including but not limited to; the Wine Industry, Food and Beverage Manufacturing, Agricultural and Horticultural Industry, mechanical or engineering streams.

These are not entry level positions, we are looking for experienced personnel from various industries with the ability to hit the ground running in most operational areas.

The ideal candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• A strong desire to build a long term career in the Wine Industry with a leading wine company that invests in its people.

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Able to train others in correct workplace procedures and practices

• Ability to raise issues and identify practical solutions to problems

• Interest in achieving production efficiency and continual improvement and quality of workmanship maintained throughout our operations

• Experience with safe chemical handling practices

• Strong experience in WHS and good housekeeping practices

• Self-driven has an outstanding work ethic and the desire to learn and acquire new skills

• Proven experience in Cellar operations (winery or similar) production facility, such as fermentation, filtration, clarification

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experiences:

• Certificate III in Wine Operators or Food processing or equivalent

• ChemCert Certificate

• Experience with computers and Microsoft Office will be highly regarded

• Forklift License
